Company Development

Wessex Restoration was established in January 1996 as a Ventrolla franchise, specialising in the need for renovation and upgrading of sliding sash windows. It soon became apparent that replacement joinery was causing delays, as local joiners were unable to meet our growing requirements. The decision was made to set up our own joinery workshop, which soon thrived by servicing our needs for window repair and replacement.

In June 2005 Wessex Restoration moved to larger premises specifically adapted to our expanding needs both for workshop and administrative space and we have continued to expand and now utilise futher warehouse space nearby to accommodate our assembly, finishing and glazing workshop. From an initial workforce of three, the company now employs over twenty skilled craftsmen.

The demand for specialist joinery now encompasses period doors, fire resistant doors, French doors, architraves and skirting boards, as well as the continuing supply of sashes, boxes and window frames.

We are members of the British Woodworking Federation, and are therefore totally committed to providing all our clients with a quality driven service which reflects best manufacturing practice and good craft skills.

In order for us to be at the forefront of bespoke joinery manufacturing, we have a continuously developing programme of training for our skilled team. We also regularly invest in new machinery which increases our productivity, flexibility and the quality of our finished article.
